| | Pressure vessels and gas cylinders for gas, fluid gas or fluids as well as steam boilers, water heaters and heaters for organic fluids and steams have to be certified by SELO (Special Equipment Licensing Office) before they can be exported to China.
The Licence is vaid for 4 years and an extension has to be applied for at least 6 months before expiry in order to ascertain a continuously valid licence.
The manufacturer has to inform the licensing authorities on all changes within his company as well as on changes of working material, product type, key technology or specifications.
New: a QM manual acc. to DIN EN ISO 9001 is no longer sufficient for the application for SELO certification. The QM manual has to meet the requirements of Chapter 4 of the Chinese "Requirements for Boiler and Pressure Vessel Manufacture Licensing" and must be available in English language.
